End of an era, Thanks for the change

In Cornwall we have struggled for years to keep a public pool open. Costs to maintain the facility have been a burden, but still less than replacement, which is out of the question. Now the Attorney General under our enlightened President is going to be the straw that breaks this community's back with this new regulation requiring all public access swimming pools to have a handicapped lift and or ramp. The penalty for noncompliance is draconian. It must be a permanent structure. Since these guys never tire of spending other people's money Cornwall will certainly enjoy complying with a substantial cash dump. Is this really the change we have been waiting for? We can't afford to maintain basic infrastructure in Town and village, and now are required to jump through this new hoop. We have a blighted old down town that is an embarrassment to drive through, because we have never spent public money to make it presentable. Somehow spending this kind of money on a crumbling pool does not seem to be in the cards. The Cornwall swimming pool may have met it's Waterloo and it's name is Eric Holder.
